Shanghai NO.2 Intermediate People's Court
The architectural design inspiration of DUTS design is based on the concept of "law is like water, virtue is like mountain", and firmly grasps the central theme of "judicial openness, justice, fairness, and the sanctity of the law" to create a building that conforms to the spirit of the times. Modern courthouse. The land is about 85 meters wide from north to south and 180 meters long from east to west. The planned height is limited to 45 meters, and the facade facing the city needs to have a good image display surface. As a landmark building with solemn authority and public service function, the building, road, greening system and external space environment should be built into a complete organic whole; on the premise of improving the space formed by the surrounding buildings and the environment, the new design The integration of the building into this space not only provides a new positive factor for the group environment, but also a harmonious member of the group environment. Without the advantage of height, the design proposal designed by DUTS creates another dimension of "urban landmark": the building is "lying" down. The total height of the building is controlled below 24 meters, with 4 floors above ground. The function rooms of the court can be arranged horizontally to form a better spatial relationship with the land.
The design proposal also aims to create a judicial facility with public service functions, allowing the public to understand and participate in an open and transparent legal sanctions workflow. DUTS design hopes to firmly grasp the central theme of "judicial openness, justice, fairness, and the sacredness of the law" to create a modern court building that is more just, pleasant, transparent, and in line with the spirit of the times.
